Work Site Leader / Cable Jointer

 

About the Role

​

As a Work Site Leader (WSL)/Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for the daily supervision of allocated work parties, and ensuring that the assigned projects are constructed as per scope, technical standards and quality requirements. The duties also include, but are not limited to, HV and LV cable jointing, cable hauling and minor civil work.

​

MPS is looking for applicants with the following

• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering and managing projects in the electricity distribution industry

• Proven leadership experience – running crews, contractors/sub-contractors

• Qualification of a Certificate III ESI – Power Systems - Cable Jointing (compulsory) 

• Current VESI training records 

• Construction Induction Card (compulsory) 

• Australian ESI Skills Passport (compulsory) 

• Switching training/authority (optional) 

• Current Australian drivers licence (compulsory), High Risk and Heavy Vehicle licences would be advantageous

• Cable Hauling experience

• Commitment to safety and delivering excellent customer service
